Circuit Race: A classic race around multiple laps of a circuit with little other shenanigans in sight. Except from the obstacles and items you can use to overtake and fend off your rivals, of course. Checkpoint Race: Beat your rivals to first place is not enough, you also have to beat the concept of TIME ITESELF. Reach checkpoints before the timer runs out! Collect Race: Coins are littered around the circuit and you have to get them all and win the race. Why? I dunno. Elimination Race: If you’re in last place at the end of the lap you’re eliminated. Nobody knows what happens to people that are eliminated, but it definitely means you’re out of the race. Death Race: Avoid being hit by items and obstacles - if you run out of health you’re dead! Well not really dead, but your hopes of winning the race certainly are. Street Race: An unsanctioned and possibly illegal (whatever that means) event where you race from one point on the island to another. Look out for traffic as you let your rivals eat your dust. Test your speedy driving skills in time trials. The islanders are an impatient bunch and need your help to get to their destination as fast as possible but INEXPLICABLE obstacles tend to appear out of nowhere.
